The Cottonee is much like his trainer, an individual that is content to wader haplessly and with no clear destination. He's not really paying attention as he makes his way through the daycare. He's already gotten out of the area they expect him to stay in twice and is escaping again with an absent swiftness.

Whatever this hallways leads to he hasn't seen it yet and it smells like something good may be at the end of it. So he should definitely inspect it right? At least once. Especially since he's certain it won't be long before the workers watching him realize he's gone again and come looking for him. He won't resist them when they do, just wait for them to turn around again.

What he doesn't expect to see is another one of the many pokemon that seem to be in the area. If only because they all seem to be in th enclosed area right?

What was upsetting was the fact that he never got to spend time with his human companion.[break][break]

What was even more distressing was that he was dropped off at the Daycare on Route 117 not by the pale-haired human, but by one of the support staff of the Sanctuary! With a note to come back for the Jangmo-o at the end of the day, he was equal parts misery and sulk.[break][break]

While most of the other Pokémon were frolicking around in the sun outside, the sour, grumpy dual-type was sulking by the door leading outside, minding his own business and trying to pick at some of his scales. Why was he left here?[break][break]

It was too quiet.[break][break]

Too boring![break][break]

He continued to tug at a particularly loose scale in frustration—it had been bothering him for some time already. Was he shedding again? He absolutely hated it when he started shedding his scales, it was terrible.[break][break]

they found him before he could make it there and his little cry fell on deaf ears. They just didnt really care about his adventure or the fact it was going to fail.

The daycare staff gave a long, heavy, sigh and he trilled. It did little to make her feel better as she carried him back to the pin with the other pokemon again.

He tugged his way out of her hand as they got close to it, letting himself drift down

The stupid scale was being stubborn and it didn’t want to budge.[break][break]

But the thing is, said stupid scale was bringing him utter discomfort the longer it spent its time stuck in the irritating spot it had wedged itself into.[break][break]

Growling, the dual-type continues to try to wedge it out, limited by the fact that it’s stuck in an awkward angle and that his mouth is so stubby he doesn’t have the proper fangs to do it yet![break][break]

Ugh, why did it have to be stuck there?![break][break]

Grumbling, the Jangmo-o refuses to give up, twisting and turning his figure, at least until he manages to catch it in another desperate bite and begins trying to pull it out—never mind if something feather-light had fluttered down on his back while he was trying to yank the scale out.[break][break]

A few more moments later, a painful ripping noise comes from the Jangmo-o’s skin as the stupid fucking annoying scale is finally freed, and with a yelp, the dual-type spits out the offending object and watches it land on the floor in disgust. It’s not until he hears something flapping does he turn around and see that he’s no longer alone.[break][break]

“Oh. Sorry you had to see that,” he says to the… huh? Didn’t his human have a Pokémon like this? No? He was confused.[break][break]

“Shedding scales sucks,” he adds a few moments later. To humans, it sounded like every day typical PokéSpeak, but to them, it was a normal conversation.

"Unfortunate. at least that seemed to be the case by how the other pokemon struggled to deal with the part of itself that was annoying him. Somehow Bumble almost felt like a bit of an intruder being on the creature's back. He seemed to nudge himself off the other pokemon and tumble onto the floor with a trill where he snuggled in and turned to the other pokemon.

he blinked. "Wouldn't know, don't shed really. just fluffs everywhere. That's what he calls them." he meaning his trainer who is always chuckling at the outragous places his cotton manages to get to but it's nothing so difficult as a troublesome scale.

Now that he’d managed to get the offending scale out, he could move around much better. Ugh. Stupid thing impairing his movement, causing him grief…[break][break]

Of course, he doesn’t notice due to the roughness of how he managed to get the offending part out, it was now bleeding a little.[break][break]

“You shed all over the place? Surely that’s not too much,” the Jangmo-o remarks, looking over at the Cottonee with curiosity. He had only ever shed scales, and whenever that happen he would be crabby and grumpy until the event was over.[break][break]

“At least you don’t have to yank them out when they’re really troublesome,” he adds a few moments later. Curling up on the floor again, he turns away from the fallen scale, now forgotten.[break][break]

“Is your human nice?” he asks the other Pokémon a few moments later.

Though bumble listened closely to what the other was saying he was also a little distracted because ti seemed the other pokemon was bleeding a little... it was unfortunate he had to got through such a rough ordeal. He bounced up and down,using his cottonspores and centralizing them around the spot he'd yanked a scale from to absorb some of it. something he had done many a times to keep his human going until they could get him to a doctor.

"He is. A little weird up against others but he's nice." his attention returned to the pokemon's face and seemed to nod. He thought as such at least. "You should be more careful next time."

He meant well, none of the others in their little band of hoodlums shed like this so he wasn't exactly used to the idea. but it was the kind of thing his human told others a lot and he felt there had to be a reason why. Right?

He hadn’t noticed that the spot was bleeding until he saw the fluffy little Pokémon flapping all over the place where the offending scale was, patching up the place with some of the cotton.[break][break]

“Oh?” the dual-type inquired, before looking over at the part where the scale had been ripped out unceremoniously earlier. While it was a rudimentary form of first-aid, at least it didn’t hurt as much as earlier.[break][break]

“I didn’t notice… thank you,” the draconid says with a grateful tone. As for his human? Well…[break][break]

“To be honest, I was only dropped off here by one of my human caretaker’s… uhh, what do you call them? Workers? Something like that? But goodness, he’s always surrounded by so many Flying and non-Flying types it’s driving me up the wall. Well, it drives everyone else who can’t fly up the wall,” he corrects himself with a snort.[break][break]

“What’s your name? You’re pretty nice to talk to.”

"You're welcome." there's a smile in his eyes if nothing else.

The other seems to have a valid complaint about their trainer, at least bumble thinks it might be? He's not entirely sure because his trainer has never had flying types. At least not like that. The others are all very fun to be around and he has a nice time with them. They're more friends than anything else.

"Is it a problem? That is is surrounded by others that can fly?" the pokemon blinks because he feels that is just how some of them are. Much like how he floats on the wind which is delightful and fun but can also lead to him being separated and lost. He thinks it can go both ways. "Maybe sometimes they wish they were grounded too." he mused, though he couldn't really be sure.

He dances around the other pokemon for a moment before he answers about his name though. Sometimes he thinks he should have none at all like his human says he does. "He calls me Bumble. You?"

“Let’s just say my human has his head in the clouds way too much… and by that I mean like almost all the time,” he remarks with another sigh.[break][break]

“I don’t know why he likes them so much. If I had wings, maybe then I would understand? But most of us Dragon-types… well, at least the other part, are land-bound so we don’t know how flying feels like,” he adds with another little snorting noise.[break][break]

“I’m pretty sure his… uhh, that scary pair of swords. Excali, I think that other Pokémon’s name was, told me that our human is a complete airhead…” he adds with another snort, a huffy-sounding noise escaping his maw. “Humans falling through the skies sounds really dangerous…not to mention really stupid.”[break][break]

Somewhere, it was like Alexei had a feeling there was at least someone talking about him, and so he let out a sneeze while he was in the middle of doing something back in Fortree.[break][break]

Back where the Pokémon were, he lets out another exasperated noise.[break][break]

“That’s the thing… he hasn’t given me a name yet. Maybe he’s still trying to figure out what would go nice with me. He takes forever to choose… at least I know your name. Why Bumble, though?” he asks the Cottonee.

This pokemon has a lot to say and Bumble has never been much of a talker. Ever the go with the flow type and not one to worry too much he had a hard time processing the other pokemon's rant but let him get it off his chest regardless. It seemed like the best course of action at the moment at least. Just nod along and let him have his moment, as his trainer would say.

"I'm sorry." he didn't know what else to say and it was too bad the other pokemon did not have a name yet. Bumble could understand it though, some were very picky about how they chose such things. His trainer had never put as much thought into it. At least Bumble didn't think he did.

"Why? I don't know. He stared at me for a while. A long while. I was floating through a field and landed on him. And then he called me Bumble and let me stay in his home with him even though I wasn't his.... it was nice. I decided to stay." it had been as simple as that, nothing special. No real reason. It was simply how it was and Bumble had never felt more at home.

Suddenly he misses him.

“You’re lucky. I ended up scrapping with one of my human’s… companions. I think it was a Riolu or something? A really angry Riolu. He didn’t stop pestering me until I almost took a bite out of him. I kinda made that Riolu mad,” the dual-type chuckled.[break][break]

“At least you weren’t turned away. I could tell that the Fighting-type didn’t want me around his human… our human, whatever,” the draconid lets out with a snort.[break][break]

“I was too wild. Maybe I do deserve being sent away to this weird place. At least I was able to get that stupid scale out of my hide. Thank you for the cotton,” he mumbles, looking away out of sheer embarrassment.[break][break]

It doesn’t take too long for the humans to come looking for them, and the Jangmo-o gets roughly picked up from where they’re located.[break][break]

“Guess he’s here to pick me up. See you again, I guess?” he says, waving in the Cottonee’s direction as he’s hustled away from the Grass-type and through corridors before he’s dumped on another unfamiliar counter… and in the presence of a very familiar human.
